Urethritis has symptoms very similar to Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), though they are different and require different treatments. UTI's are caused by an infection of the urinary tract, while urethritis is caused by inflammation of the urethra commonly due to a hormone deficiency. Common symptoms of urethritis include:
- Burning sensation at urethral opening
- Pain during urination
- Increased urgency to urinate
- Abnormal vaginal discharge.
